SC'er --> Exhaust --> High Performance Rod Bearing...when does it end?
Just in case Roman at ESS does not get enough praise, I wanted to publicly thank you for taking the time this morning to educate me. It is always one thing to read about great customer service (as I have with ESS), and then it is another thing to actually experience it. Thanks Roman!
For those interested I am installing the ESS 625 most likely with ESS HFC x-pipe (slight possibility I may go with the Akra x-pipe) and I am planning on keeping my stock exhaust at this time (mostly just to keep within my $10k budget). I understand I may sacrifice 5-8 HP, with with 625 on tap, I think I will be ok. If at some point in the future when/if I come across a good deal on an exhaust, then I may add that. Anyone with a good deal out there, feel free to PM me. I'll provide an update in a few weeks once I get it all installed. One other thing, someone mentioned to me that I should consider having a oil analysis done by Blackstone to detect any potential rod bearing issues (car has 56K mile on it). The thought being $1,000 of prevention might save me $25k later on (or more likely the parting our of my car). Any thoughts on this last point. |
