Eibach, Milled Mounts, and E36 Bumpstops

I got my car back from MRF yesterday and I have to say Malek is legit. Very knowledgeable and friendly. He installed Eibachs, milled my strut mounts and used the E36 bumpstops. The ride is a lot better. Also, the firmer springs compress less when get into my car and it actually clears my little ramp going into my garage much better than stock.

I took the car for a 30 minute drive on the streets and local canyons and its amazing. Its not floaty at all in high speed bumps while turning. It feels like stock but lower and slightly more firm. I was very skeptical about installing springs but this is nice...very nice. I was talking with Malek and he knows what hes talking about. I am just gonna keep the springs on until my oem shocks get mushy, then I will come back to MRF for coilovers, but in the meantime im gonna enjoy the new look and ride. He also installed the bmw black chrome set.

Here are some photos: (sorry didnt take before photos)

Nice subtle drop. You're running non-EDC dampers, correct? Is non-EDC fixed damping similar to the EDC "normal" setting?

Correct, my car is non-EDC.

Not sure if non EDC fixed damping is similar to EDC normal mode but I would think it is.

I also use MRF shaved upper support guides with e36 bumpstops. Kw springs though and I love the combo!

Great mod! We have practically the same setup. I've got shaved mounts, e36 bump stops and rear shock mounts from Dinan w/eibach springs. I'm also non-edc and couldn't be happier. Non-edc feels just like normal mode edc. When my shocks go, I'll probably just replace the shocks. Nice looking M3 you have, I think we're cousin's.

Eibach / e36 bumpstop setup doesn't get the respect it deserves. Absolutely love mine but as you've said, as soon as a shock dies I'm switching to something like JRZs.

What about the 220s in anthracite? That should looks quite good too, dark enough to have that look but just light enough to see the details of the wheel.

Any clearance issues with the drop in the front? Can Eibachs handle Camber Plates? Say If I buy camber plates, can I add them to this setup?

Yes you could but they'll have to accommodate stock spring sizes

How long will the stock shocks last do you think?

I have 44k on my car. I'm thinking about doing this as a "budget" setup. But I'f my shocks are going to go at 60-65k then I feel like it'll be a waste.
