Ya sportbikes are the best. There is nothing that is as fun as that for the money. Makes my car seem slow and boring.

Your best friend by the name of southlight has INSPIRED me.
+1, and for you to Nawaaz, you're a couple years younger than me but something tells me you'll own an F-car before I do

I went out last night in uptown, and man I wish I had an STi or Evo that I wasn't too anal about, it would be the perfect time to go practice car control in a big empty parking lot...I didn't even take out my X5 in this weather, idiots on the road scare the crap out of me...

dying for a drive, maybe the roads will clear up a bit this weekend, i'm going out of town for a week on tuesday and need a little fix!

Man if I had a nickle for everytime I heard that...

I was the same way. Figured Id kill myself. But Im still here.

I dont know how much a crash cage will help at 160 anyways

160 is more fun on a bike for sure tho.

The new M3 makes everything feel like a video game. I felt more connected to the road in my E46.

Just my opinions tho

I'd be down to meet up with you for some driving. Tomorrow and Sunday should be good for a drive. Our cars will probably be nasty since the sand trucks dont know what the word moderation means. Sometimes I think they just back up to an overpass and dump the whole load... Morons

Its awful riding the R6 around Dallas for months after the "safe" sand has been put down.

i know exactly what you're talking about. having driven a bunch of e46 m3's, i would love to have THAT car with the engine in our current cars. that would be so amazing.

Ya or even better would be the E46 with a turbo 6. I know that turbos go against what BMW is all about but I grew up wanting a GSX or VR4 or just some sort of BAMF turbo. Then they were all gone when I had a job and money...

So if BMW can do turbos right then I'm all for it. Let the tuning begin!

It's going to end up being a 12-13 hr work day for me.

Been very busy, since many local folks have power outages here, due to the weather.

Damn..burning the midnight oil, guys...
My DD (Honda) wouldnt go up my steep driveway yesterday so had to shovel the 9 in of snow.. who would have predicted the most snow in 24 hr period in Dallas in 115 years !!
Anyway, atleast it saved me a trip to the gym.
Still dont want to break out the M with all the shit on the road. (got a windshield crack already in my Accord from road debris).

my bad, i just saw this message...i don't have my M down here right now, it's tucked away safely in my garage in plano, definitely reluctant to drive with all the sand and crap and most importantly, terrible drivers around... i guess i'm glad that we don't use salt down here, in terms of corrosion, but i hate the residual sand left for weeks, i don't have a clearbra on yet...and i can't imagine how terrible it is on a sportbike!

i ended up taking the X5 out last night to practice some car control in the snow; was pretty fun actually...

I can't tell you how many times I have thought about this...

My old man almost bought one during his midlife crisis and since then I have been in love. Yellow Ducati Superbike with the Italian flag is so choice. I would have pulled the trigger by now but I like my life too much to make a decision I know I am likely to be completely irresponsible with.

I felt exactly the same way when I test drove the e92M. I felt like the car was doing all the driving for me. I loved the power in the 6MT but I still never felt like I was as connected with my driving experience as I was in my e46 which is really the only reason why I chose to buy the same car again after the accident. There are so many buttons to press in the e46 ZCP it feels like the batmobile. It is really sooo much fun to drive and Tom, I have you to thank for convincing me that is really what I wanted all along.
