my two cents girl stig... dont do the f8x bumper. Building a clean e92 would be a much better idea.
I meet OP girl stig on the way to mfest 9 last week
we had nice talk about this bumper.
told her if she do shows and wants to stand out, be one of the few people with this bumper I would make it for her, but if just for fun, I don't think she should do it, I would not want to make it for her.
at the end of the day. all I can say is every one have different taste, and who am I to judge. nothing but respect.
again girl stig it was a pleasure meeting u

Anyway, the OP's question was "would the bumper cause cooling issues?"

But the last 3 pages have been debating the aesthetics of the bumper and people bashing other's design credentials.

So back to the original question...

Michelle, the bumper will likely not cause cooling issues if you run the proper scoops like Hn4h is doing. But that being said its probably not worth anywhere near $4k to do it.
I just let them duke it out while I wait patiently but thank you CHAD for answering my original question lol I most definitely will not do this bumper if it costs around $4k especially if I track. Which Girl Stig = track as my middle name right?

This was done a few weeks ago by LTMW.

I've seen how they make the 1M conversion bumpers so this f8x shouldn't be that much different harder.

Admire the work but what does this do to the aero? One would think BMW spent ages getting this cars sorted in a wind tunnel etc. This will now affect all that. Lets hope it dos not introduce ahem 'interesting' characteristics and is safe :-)

if someone's driving a car in such a situation that would affect aerodynamics to the extent you're alluding to, they probably have access to a wind tunnel anyway

that or their tires are 1.5psi low on one side

Also here's an update. I've won a few trophies from various car shows since installing the new parts including the bumper. My main intention was something functional while not having the same thing as everyone else out there.

I sent my car over to Dinmann to use for MFest. He did a great job taking care of my car. I also got a new rear diffuser made by him and had it installed/ painted. The fitment and quality is perfect. It really makes the rear end more aggressive like how I wanted. I drove the car back from Cali to Colorado, took it up Pikes Peak all the way to the top, and back to Texas totaling 2000 miles.

I was wondering if the F8x bumper has the same issues? Not planning on supercharging mine at the moment but am tracking occasionally. Last thing I want is for her to overheat, especially this motor.
