Just registered. This is my first Shiftsector event. What is the usual speed that you start going at it? Trying to figure out the gears.
How much gas do you usually leave in the tank? I am driving from Huntington Beach and need to leave with a full tank.

Thanks guys and looking forward to meeting some of you.

Start speed is usually anywhere from 35 to 50 mph. Because of turbo lag you should practice before hand. You can do this by fixating on a mark ahead of you and then flooring it a little before the marker to see whether your car begins accelerating exactly at the marker. I didn't have to do this with my M3 as it had no lag but with my turbo 911 it has some lag and so I have to get on the gas a little before the marker in order to begin accelerating at the marker.

If you are leaving with a full tank you probably will have too much gas when you arrive. Im leaving with around half a tank from 30 miles south of you and should arrive around empty and then do a couple gallons of 100 octane out of the pump inside the Willow Springs facility.

Terry Burger did 630/630 HP/TQ at Specialty Z (dynojet) tune only. There is a guy with dps and Terry's tune signed up so 650 (dynojet) may be possible.

There is a huge range of quoted numbers. Some people like me quote Mustang dyno numbers, some quote dyno jet numbers, some quote crank HP numbers, and others just guess. I will run cars with 100-200 more quoted HP because I'm pretty sure there numbers are inflated.
