You know what sucks..lurking forum with no mod money
Still check this joint daily...love modding but getting older (well...32...) and finding it harder and harder to justify spending big on mods...I kinda like no being super stressed about driving into NYC and parking (not lowered, just stock 19s) but if I really had my way, it would be lowered with some fat a$$ deep dishes.
Though for those of us who have lost a bunch of money in stocks...atleast modding is honest about the money you won't recoup =) Did buy a Matte Black M3 emblem yesterday...hoorah! |

haha I know what you mean, I'm in the same boat! But you can still have some mild mods that combines with your city life driving...like spacers (the car will look lower and much more aggressive and with improved handlind), performance black grills, painted wheels, hyper black or gunmetal for example would look amazing on your Jet black IMHO, it's a kind of mod that is good value for money and give a personal touch to your baby and if you scratch a rim you just have to repaint without spendind big money as you will with some BBS or HRE on it!
I ordered the 359 wheels in flat black (GTS model), they have already arrived but now I'm moving to Milan, crazy bad city for cars, the parking spaces ARE CREATED over the side walk, the streets are in really bad shape, everybody park pushing one to each other so no place for a car maniac as I am, but it's a big money work so here we go, I'm not getting the 359 but I'm trading the 359's with the dealer and getting some OEM 18" with new rubber... But those flat black would look really good on my sapphire black E93!!!

my advice... get a 0% interest CC and go nuts on mods !!!!!! lol with that being said.
IMO reasonable modding is no different than spending tons of money on golf clubs, ot tennis rackets, etc; Im not a sports fan (playing them anyway) cars has been my entertainment/hobby since i was a little kid. |

I hear you, OP... I bought mine four months ago and am itching to do some things, but with two little kiddos and one on the way, it's going to be nickel and dime mods for me for a while.
The one thing I did spend some money on was winter wheels & tires, but that's more of a necessity. I'm looking forward to doing some little cosmetic changes to starting making it "mine", and doing the OEM exhaust mod before too long.

I feel the same way everytime I see a supercharger install thread. Now I just need to find 25k to pay off my car and then 14k for a VF620...

lol yeah...pay it off first. I've been paid off for a while. Still trying to "justify" that 14k. I think blocking the forum is the best bet lol.

Cheers Chaps...I mean, I have already started down the mod path...so this isn't a first mod issue! Thing is I've started and need to put it on pause...kinda...I have stuck to the relative cheap stuff...I feel I've been very sensible even from initial purchase...went with Jet Black to try to get too much unwanted attention...wouldn't have been my first choice though (white or silverstone I actually prefer)...have almost completed blacking out of the exterior...grills, reflector, blackline tails, emblems, dinan exhaust...so m3 badge and matte gills have been ordered...I've got splitters, RPI scoop, ZCP knob.
So I'm running out of the little stuff to do! Wheels+Lowering make the biggest difference, maybe I should just do it and drive like a paranoid grandma in NYC... Done one track day and loved it...but am trying to be economical there too but using up existing brake pads etc before trying to upgrade them or the brake lines |

Had mine for almost a month and I want to upgrade my IDrive. Talk about sticker shock. But in all fairness I'm basically replacing an entire computer.
