2011 E92/E93 M3 CGI pictures

I know it's not the real deal, but better than nothing. Here are the CGIs of the 2011 M3 coupe as found in BMW of UK's configurator. Like mentioned before, the only visual change for the M3 are the revised tail lights. BTW, the wheels for the ZCP aren't in there yet.

Looks pretty good. Doesnt really stand out much on the white, but is noticeable on the blue. Looking forward to seeing in person.

the only thing that bugs me is that I was planning on possibly getting a red one... and now the tail lights are completely red!!!! I'm not sure it looks as good as it did on the red.

You won't be able to order the L.E.D lights for several months Josh.

They won't be listed in the BMW parts ETK database until probably April or May. And even then, you'll be lucky to get a set of these new L.E.D. tail lights before June. (if you try to order them through a U.S.-based BMW dealership)

And after waiting to get your hands on these cool new 2011 factory L.E.D. tail lights...

They won't work on your car anyway.

How come they won't work? I think someone has said in the forum that they are plug&play...

Won't know for sure until we see the light unit in April / May. Most likely it won't be plug and play. Based on the E90 LCI, we know that BMW preserved the plug but reversed some wires, and a resistor is needed for the turn signals to function properly.

I heard that it might be plug, but not necessarily play. lol

There is the possibility that it will throw some error codes

That it all I know though I could be wrong/incomplete

Judging from past models:

2001+ e39 Celis taillights - Not plug and play
2003.5+ e46 LED Taillights - adapter harnesses available, coding also required. Pre 02 models required new LCM
2005+ e60 LCI taillights - Adapter harnesses available, 3rd party
2009+ e90 M3 LCI taillights - Not plug and play

History repeats itself?

The new rear lights look great, and especially on AW.... I wish the 2011 M3 got the new updated headlights to. That would've been nice...

I would love for them to be a plug and play maybe with dealer coding.

This.

When someone gets their hands on these tail lights please provide as much info on how to get them to work with '08-10 models

The new taillights look nice but I won't add them if it isn't plug and play - not worth it to me. I will be adding the ZCP springs and wheels though.
