IND Distribution - gloss black trunk badge *pictures fixed*

EDIT: Pictures are fixed!

Ordered one from IND, and it showed up with paint peeling off of it...

...first order of any sort from IND, and not impressed right off the bat! I contacted them - and they immediately set about getting me a replacement. No questions asked, waited for a fresh batch to come out, and had it inspected by a manager before it went out - so I was happy and impressed with their customer service, and with the new badge when it showed up. It was ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS, looked like a factory piece!

So, under reference to various advice from the impromptu collective emblem removal thread (http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=badge), I set to work.

VERY EASY! Marked the alignment of the original badge with thin masking tape:

Poured hot water over it and let it sit for a minute, and removed the badge with the trim removal tool IND included:

Cleaned the grime off with a mixture of water and car wash soap, and mild scrubbing from a microfibre towel, applied the new badge according to the tape, and voila! Gloss black badge!

Based on this experience, IND will have my business again in the future! Very happy with it!

I screwed up and ordered "Black M3 emblem" from ECS Tuning. It's for the newer M3, not the E92 - it's a lot bigger and the font is different. Rats. They are so nice there and sent me a RMA immediately including free shipping label, but yeah, I'm gonna have to go the more expensive iND route if I want the right black emblem.

Got mine from IND and the top of the emblem is starting to peel. I don't know if it's from the quality of paint or someone tried to chip it off...
