Below is the quote from the review:

"But the biggest problem with the new M3 is likely the price, which is expected to climb to about $62,000 when it goes on sale next spring. That’s some $7000 more than the outgoing model,..."

Although there is no explicit reference to a "price as tested", the $7k more than the outgoing model statement must mean that that's what they are talking about.

I think you are referring to Road and Track correct?

The quote in my previous post was from C&D:

http://www.caranddriver.com/previews...ice-page5.html

R&T quote is below:

"Pricing has not been announced, but expect to see the sticker price around $60,000."

I concur. However, in the actual magazine, at the end of the article where the stats are given the price is given as "Price as tested: 62K (est)"

Indeed the currency exchange rate affects prices. However, we know that you never get a good estimate of price using exchange rates to convert the actual price of an actual product. Furthermore, pricing has already seen to be very country dependent irrespective of exchange rates. Each country is it's own unique market and the prices of competitors locally will be a much larger factor than the current exchange rate.

That, and BMW wants to sell 50,000 of these babies in the US alone. I expect the price to surprise more than a few people. BMW wants these things to sell....
