I should be able to provide some more useful details about the ducts this week. Just waiting to get back a sample.

Right now, I would be leery to order from you even though the product looks interesting. Good luck,

My worry is by the time we get the pricing, group buy, shipping, and installing done, the track season will be over..

I apologize for the delay. I did not receive my update last night as promised. I should have posted that I didn't hear back from at home late last night, but I did not. Today we had a new hire, combined with a big shipment. I'm here about 16 hours a day, but posting on the forums is usually left until the later part of the day, once all the phone calls and orders are completed. I'm pushing today to still get that info by some time late tonight.
We're prepping for Bimmerfest this week, so my posts will be at odd hours of the day. I'm pushing for this project's completion ASAP. This was a preview thread with no 100% set date on completion. Had I known there would be delays, I would have held off on announcing the ducts. I will post another update ASAP UPDATE for the night: I did not get the PDF I wanted today. I'll be calling for it tomorrow. UPDATE #2. I'm having serious issues with the engineer of the backing plate. Resolving these problems will be my #1 priority after returning from Bimmerfest. It may include a redesign as they'll have to be reproduced else where now. I won't be able to follow the forums until I return. Because of the complexity to properly work with each BBK available, the backing plates for OEM brakes will be finalized first. I'm sorry for the delays. I'm honestly embarrassed. I've been burned countless times these past few weeks by other businesses and people that I've relied on in the past. I'm hoping to start fresh upon my return. POST BIMMERFEST UPDATE: We're back from the show and catching up from being away for 4 days. The engineer/manufacturer most recently responsible for the backing plates quit the project unexpectedly, as they didn't like how much time they had to invest into the project. We won't be doing work with them again, which is sad as I have a long history with them. Tomorrow (Tuesday) I will working on this project, which includes trying to get an estimate on where this puts us for a completion date. I'd say more but I'm trying to keep this thread focused on technical details. UPDATE: All measurements and designs will be confirmed/checked next Monday and Wednesday at a local shop where we've scheduled time to remeasure on a car, since I can't trust all the numbers from the last person who was in charge of the project. I'm working on how many days it will take for the fabrication shop to complete all the units. Last edited by Eddy@ApexWheels; 05-17-2011 at 07:24 PM.. |
