gintani NA tune experience?

Thinking of giving this a whirl and dumping my ESS tune for hope of 10mo wheel HP. Anyone try this tune?

Go for it. As far as I know all of the popular tunes are extremely similar so I doubt there will be much, if any, benefit from switching. But its your money.

I have had the Gintani + DCT updates for a small amount of time. I got the 240E Update ( I was on 190E) 93 Octane Tune + Servotronic Tweaks.

I opted out of Euro MDM as I find my self in either tame mode or DSC off, no need for MDM.

I haven't had the car for very long, and I haven't had any other performance mods done to her.

My impressions are this:

When driving like rational human being the car is very tame, and smooth (D2, Power Off). Linear throttle, very tasteful and livable. I could get 19/20 MPG if I chose to.

When driving it like I stole it the car is a beast, the update changes the intake howl, and I can feel the few extra horses and torques throughout the entire range and believe me, they were missed. It basically acts like it just had one of those energy drinks! Steering is heavier yet more responsive in M Mode, downshifts crack-off with authority and purpose. I'm sorry, but I still get a little thrill being in S6 and going 3-2-1 to a stop light at normal speeds. It mostly turns heads if there are people about, and you can spot the motorheads by the wide smile and nods. Satisfying.

All in all, the guys at Gintani (Alex M) were great to work with, very responsive, knowledgeable and pleasant.

I will certainly do business with them in the future if I want to do the FBO route...or maybe some FI if I sell a kidney.

Do you have a recent dyno to gauge your current baseline?

[RG mode]
- What data tools have you used to data log
- Is this seat of the pants dyno or do you have some quantifiable data
- What were the conditions on the dyno pulls
- How old are your spark plugs.
- blah blah blah.

Don't get me wrong, I just want to inform the community with concrete data and only data. Who cares what you think of how your butt dyno feels like
[end RG mode]

I'm very happy with Alex and Gintani. I've been running his e85 tune for 6 months now and it's been flawless.

100% e85? Stock fuel pump? Injectors? What kind of gain over regular time?
