**Review - Dr ColorChip**

I know a few of you have been waiting for this so here goes. I bought the Dr ColorChip kit for my IB e90 after getting several deep chips that were bugging the crap out of me. I have to say that the kit worked excellent! Well worth the $50 I paid for the largest kit available. Small chips disappeared completely and deep chips were reduced to be barely visible. All in all a very easy process and awesome results. It is rare that a product exceeds my expectations and this certainly did. The color match was spot on as well.

The process is simple...clean area around chips....apply dabs of paint with included brushes then smear paint across/around area effected, filling the chip. After drying, you apply a chemical they give you with a cloth (I used micro fiber). You lightly rub around the touched up area, do not use pressure, and the excess paint magically disappears leaving only the now fixed chip. Buff with another towel and the chip is no where to be seen. Deep chips, as you will see in my pics, are still a little visible...but barely and I am sure I can make them disappear completely if I spend more time on them...adding more layers. As is, I did 4 coats on these deep ones and I am satisfied for now with the results.

On to the pics...

Yea...my pics don't do this justice as there are a lot of white spots that is dust from my rag, not chips. But I tell you....this is night and day. I will never pay for a person to touch up my car professionally as long as this product is available.

Hey, can you post info where you bought it? Need something like that too, and nothing has worked in the past. Just hope they carry SSII. Thx.

Think I'll be getting this - or is Langka's better?

I have used both and prefer Dr. Color Chip. It is SO easy to use and great results every time. Every time I buy a car I buy the Dr. Color Chip system for the inevitable chips that come. Haven't used it yet (or needed to) on the current M3 but it was great on every other car.

I wrote them once to ask if they would have this for Individual color paints (leaning that way), and they answered as long as they have the code.

You can buy it from the website: http://www.drcolorchip.com/

OP, thanks for the review.
