Corner weight balancing
Quick, and possibly silly, question about CWB. I'm wondering if which wheels you have effects the balance? Like for example if I corner weight balance my car with one set of wheels, and then put on another set, does it throw off the balance?

I would say no. Maybe if you have staggered wheels that are significantly different in weight for a weird reason. Even then I think the difference will be negligble.

The key is the cross weights and the proportional weight at each corner. So if you put wheels that are all 2lbs heavier at all 4 corners, it has no effect on those numbers.

No, changing wheels makes no difference to corner weighting adjustments.
Corner weighting is done to adjust suspension lengths so that they give an even cross corner footprint. Think of it as adjusting a tables leg lengths so that the table doesn't wobble due to one or two legs being too short. In adjusting the lengths, you are trying to obtain equal cross corner weights (as said by bigjae) so the front left and rear right weights added together equal the front right and rear left. The only way to change weight distribution is by physically moving weight around, and cannot be done by corner weighting. |

Depends how far off it is. If your close is pretty close to stock is should already be close. If you've got the full interior...unnecessary. Since you did put on TCKlines...as long as your car has a similar height ratio from side to side and front to back as the stock suspension...it should be close optimal.
IMO, corner balancing is only necessary when you've added a lot of weight or took some off. Otherwise its a very fine tuning detail step. I have removed about 300 lbs from my track car...so I will corner balance it.
