Looking through the thread, would people say it's reasonable to expect to pay around $35-40k for a non-CPO '08 E90 with a moderate number of miles? Seems to me it wouldn't be too hard to find something around or just under 40k.

I would say getting one with 30K miles or so for low 40s is a good deal.

yes you should look for about 41-42 including the cpo with that many miles.

Where to find used deals?

I've been reviewing this thread and some people have picked up some great deals! Where are you guys finding thiese deals? Are they online (autotrader, craigslist, bmw, ebay), or just lucky dealer finds?

I'm looking for a black e90 with DCT, cold weather package and decent options (I'm flexible on options). This will be my 50mi R/T commuter car, so I am OK with miles, but would prefer CPO if miles are too high. Would like to find something around at 40k, so I was looking at '08's.

I have found one at a dealer (not local to me, so don't know condition)with 46Kmi, CPO, for $46K, which seems high based on this thread...

any suggestions for a wannabe new M3 owner? or should I just wait...

That sounds like a good price. There is a E93 DCT space gray on FR with all options except extended leather with 48k for $43995 so $42k out the door sounds like a winner.

Madrider...I think $46k is a bit much and you can do better but CPO cars are hit or miss for good deals, more often than not miss.

I have been toying with the idea of getting an E92 since at least March, but unlike some I want a VERY specific combo and it is proving to be difficult to find. (09, FR extended, DCT, prem, tech, low miles, good price).

Is this CPO? If so thats about right. If not you could probably go lower. 40-41k

How long have they had the car? I don't think you can go wrong starting there but don't think they will let it go for that unless it has been there for a long time and they need to move it. I would definately start there though, just make sure they know when you go there that you are prepared to commit if you can agree on a price.

I'm looking at grabbing a 2009+ E90 M3 and trading in my 08 E92 335i. So far, this is what I've seen out there without a state or two drive as there is nothing local for me thus far.

Car 1: 2009 E90 M3 Base
Mileage: 39,758
Unsure About CPO
Has: DCT, Technology, Cold Weather, Premium, Sunroof, Premium Sound
Asking Price: $48,995

Car 2: 2009 E90 M3 Base
Mileage: 20,920
Unsure About CPO
Has: No idea, not much info beyond DCT.
Asking Price: $45,994

Car 3: 2009 E90 M3 Base
Mileage: 42,844
NOT CPO
Has: DCT, Technology, Cold Weather, Premium, Sunroof, Premium Sound
Asking Price: $44,995

My question is, what is a fair price to be attempting to negotiate to BEFORE tax, title, license, etc.? My intention is to get a CPO'd E90 M3 but if it, for some reason is not CPO then I would look into getting some kind of extended coverage up to 100k.

This is the largest purchase I've made in terms of a vehicle and I've only ever bought 1 vehicle before this, at a dealer, so I want to make sure I get it right this time around.

Thank you!

2009 Dct M3

2009 CPO M3. Dealer is asking for 49K

Car includes: DCT, Nav, BT and rear parking sensors.

So close to closing a deal but think it's a bit pricey. Thoughts?
