E92 Frozen edition

Hey gents- looking around for a frozen black or red E92 and from what I am learning it sounds like in 2011 only 20 frozen black editions were made. Anyone know the numbers for red in 2013? I originally had an alpine white E92 and had the f10 m5 and f13 M6 since. All sold. I am missing my E92 and why not go with a limited one of I'm getting back into it

I saw one Frozen Black was made in 2013. Confused, but saw the car in the dealership.

There was a run of "special edition" frozen cars but the paint is/was available as an individual option....

makes sense. Has anyone really paid around the $50K mark on a 2011 for these with low miles ? looks like the numbered vehicles are going around there

Often debated. Is the "frozen" paint worth it? BMW put out 20 frozen black cars with a small plaque designating it 1 of 20. But were they really that special? As I recall the only differences were the paint color and some carbon fiber bits on the car. The individual color option is around $5,000 and the other parts a bit more but is the car really a "rare" car when anyone could order these options or add them later? That is ultimately up to the buyer! If you think the car is worth $50k then that is your choice. As for a 2011 car for $50K, it would have to be a very low mile car but even then I don't think the E9x M3 values justify that kind of premium. But that's just my opinion.

One of twenty but others have essentially ordered the same car so is it really unique? Granted there are likely not a lot more out there so if the frozen black is really important to you then it may be worth it. Only you can place a value on the one of twenty rarity. How valuable/important is it to you? Good luck in you search!

The breakdown of the 150 Frozen Editions from 2013 was not evenly split. The thread that contains the aggregate numbers shows only 33 Frozen Red. I read somewhere that there were ~60ish Frozen Blue (the thread lists 72, so there were a number of individual orders) so the remainder would be the Frozen White. The Frozen Red are the most rare, followed by the Frozen White, and then Frozen Blue.

There are only 2 Frozen Blues that I know of, including mine. The other was bought used a couple of years ago from a dealership in Utah and brought here by a local. I've only seen it once but some coworkers have seen it a few time and mistook it for mine.

I saw one available last fall in Georgia. Maybe at United BMW of Roswell? Paint was totally abused and would've needed panels totally repainted.
