Question for Speed Cloth owners

Do you regret not getting leather?

I'm about to order an M3 with either the cloth interior or black leather. I'm leaning toward cloth and here is why:

1. I like how the stripes in the middle of the cloth broke-up the plain look of all black.
2. I live in Georgia where its really hot in the summer, so I thought the cloth would be more comfortable than black leather.
3. I would save $1000 to put toward an exhaust system.

I have not seen a cloth interior in person (only photos off this site), but I have seen the black leather and was not impressed with the leather seats. I'm coming out of a 2008 Lexus IS350 that had really nice light grey, perforated leather seats w/ ventilation.

Are you buying or leasing?

I'd only do it if I were leasing. It may make it difficult to sell later on, considering that only like 1 or 2 people on this forum went with the cloth. Plus, most people expect leather in a $65k+ car. Just MHO.

Speed cloth FTW! Although I have leather in my current car, I wanted speed cloth. I had leather/cloth in my previous ///M coupe.

I'm buying, so I have considered that. I'm definately not buying this car for the interior. The interior looks very out dated. I'm buying the M3 E92 for its exterior looks, power, and DCT.

No I do not regret it.

There you have it. My buddy has the black leather and it is nothing to write home about. My car still smells like leather as there is still a decent portion on the seats. I just think the car looks more sport and less luxury with the Speed Cloth seats. I mean I didn't buy a 750i, I bought an M3.

1 or 2 eh. You enjoy your resale mobile, and I will enjoy the car built exactly how I wanted it.

That too! Just not the interior. I thought I might could pose as the fire chief with that red light under the rear view mirror.

Same here. I had a Lexus with every possible option, but it was all luxury and not much fun when it came to driving. The Lexus has more standard equipment than all of the available options on the BMW.

But... No manufacture is worst than Porsche when it comes to running up the cost with available options!

Just because you dated one hot Latin model, doesn't make all Latin's hot... or models for that matter.

+1. I love my speed cloth. It also ages better as it doesn't get the creases that leather seems to get. It also looks sportier imho.
