Goodbye to M3 Sedan and hello to 550i

56,000 miles.
4 years.

Time to say goodbye to a great car, a no sunroof 6mt sedan, no idrive. Needed o2 sensors and probably brakes in 5000 miles. (let it go for 32k) to a private party.

Said hello to a 550i, loaded with m sport, heads up, and a few other minor goodies.
-------------------
Didn't try and slalom with the 550i---as I have my S2000, and GT3 for that. But I was looking for a more relaxed ride with the 550i and I got it. M3 seats were amazing, 550i seats..WOW ! Everything swivels and adjusts. Amazing power....400hp 450 torque.

Good and bad..........it's as big as a boat !
Carbon Black paint...looks like dark blue in some light.

Car leases for what my 08 M3 did, but it's MSRP is 13k more.

M3 good deal for the money. 550i...good deal for the money.

550i is so good, and I am sure M5 is a good deal faster, but this is all the car I need.....and it has an automatic, so my wife can drive it also !

Also leased a new 328i sedan a month ago...crazy stop/start but also a great car.

BMW is making some great cars....not sure if I would want to own them out of warranty, but GREAT cars.

I love the Carbon Black color. I saw one with the M Performance CF spoiler and it was gorgeous Congrats and enjoy in good health.

Seems like you let the M3 go for really cheap.

congrats on the new car.
I was driving a 2011 328xi loaner for couple weeks and was sick by the no-nav E90 interior. It is so different from the E90 with nav.

Congrats! My brother got his 2012 550i XDrive M Sport in Dark Graph/Cinnamon a month before I got my new M3. I love driving his car. Such a different machine than my M but it's nice to switch once in awhile. Needless to say he loves driving my M. Best of luck with yours

5 series are great but a bit too polished for me. Congrats on the new car.

Maybe got the 550i too early, and should have waited for wife's lease on her 328i vert to be up in march of 13'.

I miss my 08 m3 sedan. Yeah, I let it go kinda cheap, more of a wholesale value than retail, but engine service soon light, possible wheel bearing noise from rear, no warranty....56k miles, and new brakes needed in less than 5,000 miles.

550i is as big as a tank. My wife loves it, and it was going to be her car. We are kinda sharing it before her 328i vert goes back. It's good that I can go somewhere with her and not be in the mood to drive and then she is able to drive because my M3 was a 6mt. Maybe shoulda waited till her lease was up before getting the new car, and also looked at a new 328 sedan, or 335 for her.

Going to drive my 03 S2000 more, and thinking after my wife's 328i goes back, maybe putting some more street friendly tires on my 10 GT3, as the GT3 is under warranty until 03 of 2014 and I don't even have 5000 miles on the Porsche. Needless to say that the Porsche and the 550i are like polar opposites. Also don't want the value of the GT3 to tank by putting too many miles on it.

Gotta calm down with cars going kinda crazy. New 5 series are BIG

The '03 S2k is fun, but it doesn't quite compare to the M3. I suspect that you might miss it, but congrats on the new wheels.
