Guess the exhaust: New To Me 2012 e92 M3 ZCP Coupe

It has been 58 days I have been “E92less.” I traded my 2013 black E92 M3 for my i7 and my life has felt empty ever since. A 2012 Alpine white with the two tone Fox Red popped up in Denver at a Ford dealer. Having had 3 Coupes (alpine white on black, frozen blue on black and jet black on black) and one E90 (alpine on black) the white on the two tone fox red has always been on my bucket list (other than Dakar or Java).

We will find out tomorrow when it arrives if I regret not flying in instead of buying it site unseen, lol.

I will post more pictures when it arrives tomorrow. Upon looking at the pictures the exhaust looks aftermarket. Any guesses what it is? I believe OEM is thicker.

yeah, that's next to impossible to tell. could be MPE, or original. Or something else entirely.

Seconded. MPE has relatively thin walls. Here's a pic of mine.

I have an active exhaust (v2) and the tips on mine stick out significantly past the rear bumper, which leads me to think yours isn’t an AA

Looks like MPE, but difficult to see the ///M logo on the tips. Too dark.

active has adjustable tips but with the way your exhaust tips are sitting I would probably say you didnt buy that exhaust new.

I have the AA exhaust and my tips do not look like that! Maybe it’s just the pic but those almost look like straight cut SS. My AA tips are polished and have length adjustability.

To answer the OP question - looks like MPE

Yup the previous owner of the car put them all the way out. Never realized they were adjustable, was planning on switching the exhaust for a different one because of the tips lol.

You can tell V1 vs V2 from an underside photo. There is new bracing on the V2.

That said, I've had a few exhausts and the MPE is the keeper.

Little toned down for my taste. Thinking Meisterscraft, RPI (which I had before) or Bomiz. All full race
