That's one of the negatives ;( They have to powdercoat over the logo

We are working on getting a sticker made for the tips with the Akra logo. Just need to test them to see how they react to heat.

You'll have to excuse my perfectly focused and uber photographic skills, but I took a few pics of the gloss-black tips for people to see. The last one is just a bit dusty because of well...the dust + flash. And yes, the interior is NOT black, just the barrel. Looks better that way IMO.

Additional information on Akrapovic’s X Pipe as a standalone option.

All of us at IND have been seeing quite a few inquiries into the Akrapovic X Pipe as a standalone option to add to other exhaust systems. Along with the recent surge in interest, we have also seen an increase in concern regarding the fitment of the x pipe. Some clients even purchased Akrapovic x pipes second hand or through other retailers, and have experienced major fitment issues.

IND created this release to shed some light on using the Akrapovic x pipe with other systems, to prevent confusion in the future. After seeing quite a few clients get burned by vendors who do not have sufficient knowledge and experience to sell the product, we’d like to inform the public to ensure that others do not waste their hard earned money on product they cannot use.

Every Akrapovic x pipe sold by IND and a select number of other vendors comes with specially built adapters, designed specifically to mate the x pipe to any number of exhaust systems, including BMW’s factory exhaust, and any exhaust system that mates to the OEM ball flanges. These adapters are not a clamped on piece or poorly constructed retrofit, but rather a custom piece built from Titanium with an aluminum mating ring at the connecting pipe joint. This custom piece is then mated to the x pipe using a manufacturing process referred to as cold swaging. The process of cold swaging alters the dimension of the fitting using dies and subsequently fits the adapter to the x pipe creating a permanent bond. The swaging process prevents any discoloration of the titanium and creates a finished product that boasts the quality and look of a piece made in Slovenia at Akrapovic.
