Have you mentioned the present you'll be bringing back for her? I've found this often works.

I presume you're all up-to-date with M-Car Day @ Griots then?

The drive should be a go! 3000 dumptruck loads of debris. That's pretty crazy. There will likely be some traffic at the site of the slides but hopefully no issues aside from that.

I actually just drove much of this route today. Absolute gorgeous drive. I don't have an M3, although I am a big fan of them which is why I visit this forum. Is this drive for M3 owners only or do you let non-BMW's tag along? I live on the "east side" and enjoy a spirited, scenic drive every chance I get, especially with other fellow enthusiasts.

How was the road? Did you see the mudslide area? If you're interested in the drive, come on out! As long as you have a car that can be safely driven aggressively and you know appropriate limits then you're welcome to come along. What do you drive? Just to clear out the obvious everyone should have insurance and tires that are not bald... you'd be surprised. There was a subaru drive a few years ago where this guy had bald tires, no insurance, and on a hard stop he drove into like 4 cars because he couldn't stop. None of that on our drives!

I drove about 30 minutes past Diablo Lake (east). I'm not sure exactly where the mudslides were in relation to that point but all of the roads I drove on were fine.

I drive a 2013 Mustang GT/CS with some suspension mods. It's not a world class super car, but it gets me from point A to point B with a smile on my face. Tires are fine.

I just realized that I have a training for work on September 7. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make this drive. Hopefully I can make the next one. Have a fun, safe trip!

Anyone else doing all three as well?

I will be driving up from PDX this Saturday morning--departing around 06:00 on the dot. Does anyone from the area have an interest in commuting up together?

I plan on going and my brother may be rolling with us in his AMG. Let me know where we should meet up so we can roll together.

Hauling Ass

Can't make it next weekend so decided to go this weekend.

Cops were out in force this weekend. Especially between Newhalem and Lake Diablo.

The officer said, "It is a good thing I turned my radar off to start my bike. You we're hauling ass when you passed the second car and if it had still been on, it would have clocked a much higher speed."

Then he wrote me a ticket for doing 88 in a 50. I will be calling Mitch Green at Speedinginseattle.com on Tuesday! I am innocent!

F! I got a ticket yesterday too on I-5 in Seattle and I think it was BS. Apparently don't speed on the state highways on a holiday weekend.

No drive if its raining. The weather forecast looks crappy until Saturday so hopefully we're still on.

In Seattle area call Mitch Green at speedinginseattle.com. Never has let me down. In Whatcom County call Aaron Lukoff at (360) 647-5251. He is the Whatcom County traffic guru.
