I'm with you. I've been close a few times. It's tempting because they do have nice designs

I read all this and also wonder why I see these wheels on some serious cars. A buddy of mine has a set on his GTR. Now that I think about it, he did ship them back to have them re-coated as apparently the finish was peeling. Wheels look good, but man, some serious problems out there. I like my rock chipped OEM 220s.

Those rocked chipped OEM 220's are built/forged by FUCHS wheels in Germany. A well known company with years of knowledge and rigid testing. To top it off their TUV certificate if official and not photo-shopped.

I feel your pain OP, mine was with another forged wheel company based out of the west coast..5g later, times 2! On our own shop cars.

Thanks for the update on AA and ADV.

What was the wheel company you had trouble with?

please just name the god damn shitty wheel company
lets flush them out so they go out of business and we won't have to deal with their subpar business ethics and their wanabe baller-wheel bullshit like every other "forge" wheel company popping up everywhere.

95% of forged wheel company's are fukn bs I know this for a fact. I would bet that 99% of forged wheel orders on this site where delivers late. In the end people where happy but the process was not smooth if someone wants to disagree with me go ahead.

No problem Aus.

I had an issue with DPE wheels. The finish flaked off, and the "polished" aka hazed lip was my biggest issue. It pissed me off so much because I paid for the lip to shine. I even paid an extra grand to re-polish my 1 piece wheels which was a royal PITA....because their rep at DPE told me he can only hook me up with new barrels, at a discounted rate. Basically buy another set.

Ever since then we use strickly BBS or OEM on our cars. We just set up a new E60 M5 with the Stop-Tech, ESS Tuning S/C, AA Full exhaust but instantly I went for BBS CH-R Monoblock wheels (partially too because I overshot our budget or would love P40s on it).

I will say that the one company I do believe in, and most likely always will is HRE. My next set of forged custom wheels will be from HRE because the people, the product and the support cannot be beat.

I figured it was DPE, but didn't want to start another bad wheel topic without the facts. They have a BAD reputation for delivering wheels on time and with bad finishes.
I haven't seen any failures, but lots of headaches with DPE.

Another negative story about DPE. What's up with these wheel companies. Once they become successful they slack up.

Welcome to the club, there are many more of us. After my "thread" I made about my troubles with them I have had trouble moving the set from my G37....
