Poll: TPMS or NOT for your 2nd Set of Wheels

For those that have a second set of wheels for track / summer use, do you put TPMS sensors in them, Use an emulator instead, or just deal with the error light in the dash? Use Voting Buttons above, And also comment why you do what you do.

I would not bother on a set of track wheels where I was checking and adjusting pressure frequently during the day. I do run TPMS on both my summer and winter wheels.

i have tpms in my first and second set of wheels but not third. actually can be useful at the track as well. had a partial tire failure twice, not blowout that my tpms in my wet track tires caught for me.

i have a set in my track wheels as well. if they could prevent an accident like the 911 driver that put his car into the wall (video was posted here recently), then they are worth every nickel.

Had it on my Apex street/track set. But, don't on separate track Volk. Got used to the warning lights pretty quick.

I am in the middle of the same dillema. So far I am leaning towards just not spending the extra money, as I check my tire pressure before I go on spirited drives anyway, and between runs on the track.

UPDATE: Read some more about the whole thing and decided to just order a second set of sensors and stems.

Just code them out. I think EAS can do that. Not sure though. I have TPMS on both sets.

I always add TPMS. there a couple hundred bucks. For me, I want to know at all times before its to late. However if you get a instant flat it wont matter. Plus the error light would drive me nuts

TPMS didn't really exist in the US a decade ago and life went on. I did not add TPMS to my winter set and the warning light is not enough to bother me.

Same here - No TPMS on 3 sets of wheels. Always in MDM so it's just another light & not a big deal. I guess maybe if I never checked my tires it would be a necessity.

It's a wonder how the Germans get along w/o TPMS....they need to put more reflectors on the front bumper too. Talk about reckless...

I run TPMS on all sets. With all the money I spend on car related items I don't see the point on skimping on this saftey feature.
