Adjusted Headrest

I never much liked seeing the silver of the the headrest post so I decided to make my own adjustments and voilą!

tbone, remove the dummy side cap and pull out the pin. Amazingly it was that simple! If you decide you want to change back to the original look, just pull up one notch.

I'm 5'9" and I find this lower setting much more comfortable.

I wish I had the option to tilt. Only the older models had this.

How did you remove the "dummy side cap" to pull out the pin?

5'9" is vertically challenged? Did I miss something somewhere?

I thought that was excellent run of the mill height? lol

Can you post a little more info on how to do this? Preferably with pictures

I have a 2010 so i can't tilt the headrest back either and I cannot find a comfortable seating position because the headrest is pushing my head forward.

Thanks

does this compromise the safety of the headrest? I remember reading that the headrest tilts forward in an accident to protect the occupants neck?

non op side will be the dummy (the one w/o the push button.) you need to press under the clip and pull up and it will snap off. the cover will stay on the metal stand and you can have access to the lower piece where the pin is.

Hope this helps.

I think the chrome posts add a nice look on a completely black interior..but a clever mod nonetheless.
