Exhaust Cutout Valve Suggestions!

So I'm considering ordering the 2.25" Dual Electric Exhaust Cutouts by Race Ready Performance for my 09 E92 M3 and I'm just curious if anyone has comments about this idea. If anyone has videos that would really help. I heard them once on a E92 ///M3 but it was awhile ago so I need some refreshing on what they sound like.

Also, if people have other websites to buy from other that racereadyperformance.com feel free to share....there price is $499 including shipping. Thanks

I absolutely LOVE mine. With them open, the car sounds like an animal. At WOT the engine has that great small displacement V8 tone. I don't have any videos; my camera is broken, but I do have some pictures. You won't find a better alternative for the price.

I have the Race Ready kit, btw.

Nice mod. Still considering this myself. It looks like you did not choose the stainless option on some parts. Regrets on that?

All electric actuators or motors die over time due to heat and moisture. And the valve usually leaks or gets blown out in hard acceleration on boosted application. Lastly the decreased back-pressure has significant enough impact that another tune is needed on my other car, so every time I go WOT, the cutouts have to be open if that is the map is used.

In the end, I would not go electric cut-outs again. Maybe manual cut out with a block plate for a true track car.

+1 - Raceready is the best option, but they are not a perfect design - clearly not staffed by engineers.. they will eventually rattle. I've had mine for about a year now with no regrets though. I don't notice any loss in power or change in the torque curve. There is so little backpressure in the stock muffler that I doubt this has any effect, and until I see a dyno plot showing there to be an issue I'm going to assume that I'm fine.

Now when I take the secondary cats out....then I'd expect a major backpressure change requiring a tune for drivability.
