Looking to trade my 335 for an M3 sedan...

I've been keeping my eyes open for an e90 m3 and today I came across one at a semi-local dealer that I am interested in.

CPO 2008 M3 Sedan
$48,807
21,668 Miles
Exported to US: 6/5/2008

Interlagos Blue/Gray Interior
- Premium Package
- Tech Package
- Cold weather package
- Enhanced premium sound
- Sirius Sat
- Ipod/USB
- Moonroof

Obviously I wouldn't start at the listed price but ~$1000 less than that seems to be a fair deal. I've checked pricing on KBB, Edmunds, Autotrader as well as various dealer web sites. I was hoping for some guidance from the owners out there as you guys are probably more in tune on what's a fair deal.

Cheers and thanks!

What year? And if possible, build date?

Don't have build date. Are there specific build dates that are worthy of note?

OK ran the car fax and it says exported June 5, 2008. So I imagine the build date is May-June 2008

It's funny that these days you can find the same year m6 with less miles at 110k sticker price for just around that.
Just throwing it out there

Need a sedan. But damn! That's some serious depreciation.

Wait until the new one is out. Will drop even further.

I'm considering picking one up a few years down the road

Get the car btw. I have a sedan and LOVE it.

Is there a reason other than the idrive? I have the newer Idrive in our x5 and is much better than my 08 idrive. But it's not a game breaker for me. I can use that in the negotiation.

I upgraded from a 335 to a CPO 08 E90 M3 earlier this year. My M3 is very similar to the listed car (same colors, year, mileage, build date). My car doesn't have quite as many options though. In comparison, mine is missing:
- Cold weather package
- Enhanced premium sound
- Ipod/USB
- Moonroof

I paid a few thousand less than that price, which is probably about the difference of those options.

There have been all sorts of little unmentioned updates since '08, as well. For example, there have been issues with bearings on that MY. If I were you, I would look at '09+.

sounds like a good deal, as the CPO is worth 3K.

Sorry my friend, I just put a deposit on the car Tuesday, they haven't pulled it off the website yet. Kind of ironic that the car has sat since February, and now two of us are interested in it in less than a week!

If you are seriously looking, I do have some leads on other cars I looked at, that I would be happy to share with you. You can PM me for the info. I negotiated hard on all three cars I looked at, so you can decide which one you like better.

2008 Sedan tails are the worst BMW tails I have ever seen.
