New car need splitter
So I traded for a 06/13 build E92 AW...premium..DTC..apps..cf spoiler... no comp...EDC..and 220m's I think I remember another thread where a member was asking what to order....well i think I got his car..Anyhow the car looks unbalanced without a splitter up front..I will be tracking the car 5-6 times a year and thought I should get something with functional ducts for the brakes but looking in the private party section it seems like they get hit..fixed and re-sold...for now I'm just going with track wheels and R rated tires ...fluid..pads..and ss lines. What spliter would be a good application so I don't fear the speed bumps...btw my old car was never damaged or scraped as I have owed lowered cars before. The oem splitter looks safe?

A splitter with brake ducts that won't make you fear speed bumps doesn't exist. Oem Carbon splitters provide the most clearance but I don't think they provide any aero advantage.

The OEM side pieces probably offer the most ground clearance but doesn't do anything in terms of actually keeping the front planted. Maybe look at the OEM CRT-style front lip? that one isn't very low.
All splitters will reduce ground clearance. Maybe not in ride height but when they stick out, it scrapes. Heck, the undertray scrapes the ground on my stock front going up some driveways and my car is lowered less than an inch.

Probably oem splitters. Also, the GTS lip is really sweet. Anything oem.
Don't count on aero on any of these. Even the performance cf spoiler is useless for downforce. You really start to get downforce on pieces as aggressive as the GTS rear deck spoiler. Where do our current side ducts route? assuming they feed into the dual oil cooler radiator grills? No routing to back side of front rotors? |

Bite the bullet
Thanks for the input..sounds like anything that gives me a little downforce will hit..so i should just deal with it! There are so many to choose from which offer the best fitment?

RKP products that IND sells seem to be high quality.
