Aftermarket Pads for Brembo gt 380mm 6 pot

Hello. New to big brake kits and just trying to understand. About to pull the trigger on a nice set of brembo gt fronts but how do I know which aftermarket street/light track pads fit this system? Most sites you can only search pads by vehicle type and not the caliper/brake system.

These are the pads that fit. Sometimes you have to communicate withe the pad company you are looking at to confirm. I picked up a set of GLoc pads for track and had to ask them which of their pads fit these specs. I sent them a pic of the pad specs on the linked page and they were able to give me their corresponding part #.

Brembo GT6/GT4 are very common pad shapes. You should have no problems finding pads that fit. Below are some more options.

Project Mu HC+:
Front: Z531 HC+
Rear : F1040 HC+

Endless MX72:
Front: RCP132 MX72
Rear: RCP077 MX72

Titanium Brake Shields (http://hardbrakes.com):
Front: DP8061
Rear: D810

Anyone know if using a pad with same shape and dimensions, except height being 93mm vs the 87mm for the stock GT6 pad will work? I'm after some ceramic pad options. TIA

Edit: I ended up going with Hawk HPS 5.0 for a low dust solution, Front: HB581B.660 Rear: HB193B.670

All possible options for front: https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/i...?cPath=82_1542 and rear: https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/i...p?cPath=82_973

Can I just ask as I am looking into getting a set of these brembo gt6 pot calipers and brembo 380 discs . First question is do these fit on a competition e92 2012 with standard wheels no spacers ?

Second question will they need any adjustment with brake bias if I leave the rear discs and calipers stock ??

Yes they will clear any 19in and larger wheels, but only some 18in wheels like te37s.

Unsure about brake bias but have seen people upgrade only fronts before without issues.

Brake bias is not manually adjustable. It's dynamically adjusted by the ABS/DSC system.

So you mean that the car will automatically adjust if I went ahead and upgraded the fronts to the brembo set up ??

Yes, within certain limits. You will be fine with just a front bbk and stock rear brakes.

If you don't track, you probably don't need a bbk. Most do it for the looks, and it does upgrade the look of the car. If all you want is better stopping power for street use, good pads and fluid will fix that at a much lower cost.

The Brembo GT kit is a decent kit but not the best value for money. If you are getting a good price on one, go for it. Just bear in mind that Brembo consumables are some of the most expensive, it will hit you when your discs are due for replacement. I got my Brembo GT kit used for a good price, so I can't complain. But if I were buying new I would definitely not get Brembo GT.

Ferodo makes the pad shapes that fit the Brembo GT BBK. I'd suggest the DS1.11 for full track use or DS2500 for road/autoX/light duty track. Based on the OP's post, it looks DS2500 would fit the bill. The DS2500 is extremely similar to the pads that ship with the GT Kits from Brembo/Race Technologies, which they call the FM1000. The Ferodo shapes for the front and rear Brembo GT kits are:

Front= FRP3099

Rear= FRP1281

Below is an article we just published on choosing the Ferodo compound that best matches your needs:

Which Ferodo Brake Pad Compound is Right for Me?

Thanks for the reply and yes was thinking more aesthetics than necessary performance . This is a used set which has only covered approx 500 miles and is discounted price 👍

For 380mm front rotors isn't 57mm (height) pads required? i.e. FRP3098H

Would it be possible to run the Endless MX72Plus in the front 6-piston caliper and MX72 compound in the rear 4-piston caliper? Seems they do not make the MX72Plus for the rears.

Should not be a problem. Differences will be smaller than running front bbk with stock rear calipers. That said, I'm not a huge fan of MX72 due to the wooden pedal feel. Never tried MX72+ so maybe they fixed that in the new compound.

Currently running the MX72 on my stock blue F80 brakes & rotors …. feels better to me vs. OEM pads and Hawk 5.0s. Plus I think blue looks cool 👍
