If they have the kit on a car for 6months, they should have at least a couple basic infos that they could share!!!! I hate to be tease like that, this is more of a publicity stunt then anything! I'm really exited to see the kit but I could have waited until they really want to share some real info before starting a thread! |

You gotta pray to play jk
I hope they are smaller turbos that spool fast... I like the stock airflow set up. These two factors will make for a wild ride and keep the cost down. Will the manifold and header section be inconel or aluminum? And if you do get a used e92 make sure you get a lci... The S65 in those feel more alive |

Unless the tail-light LEDs provide some sort of massive energy burst propelling the car forward, its all ECU updates and placebo (the latter being the bigger influence IMO) On topic, really curious to see what this kit looks like. My main concern with any of the FI applications is traction really. Seems like hooking up would be unpleasant given the narrow rubber and RWD. I like the idea of a lot more power, but I really dislike the idea of having an even *harder* time using it for street starts. Cant wait for dyno results and final package details to see if there is a big boost in low RPM tq. |

Familiar comments as to when Evolve first made announcements about their SC kit. Bring on the turbos at whatever cost. This will be for real.

I cannot wait to hear more, but the cost issue is very real. Most, if not all, tuners price themselves into a difficult situation on the M3. Yes it a great car, but make it expensive, sell a few kits, make it affordable and sell hundreds.
Spending $10-20k for some may be easy, but 95+% of M3 owners will never mod there cars at all because of no affordable solutions. It is why so many 335's and audi's and Subarus, etc are tuned. On the new S5/S4 you get almost 80hp for ~$1200, on the V10 R8, a much more expensive car, you get 59hp for only ~$1500. Those numbers and prices are from just from one tuner of many. Sorry for the long rant, just want something my wife will let me buy!! |

Thanks for the flattery, however I far from an expert in FI. The amount of power here will depend on how cool the input can be. That is too big of a variable. Power could be anywhere from 550-800 hp. Now given that it is a new design and does need to balance price vs. power I would simply guess about 600 hp. That is really coarse though. Others will probably have better guesses.

1. SC kits vary widey in output from 530-800 or so. Well maybe the 800 is not quite a "kit" but you get my point. 2. This kit almost for sure won't produce "great amounts" of power compared to the upper range mentioned above. Cheers.

2) Running 7.5lbs? When speaking in terms of hp, probably not. When talking about TQ, however......Considering what we know at this point, I can say with a relative amount of certainty, 7.5lbs is just the beginning One thing I'm curious about, however: what size exhaust this will require. Turbos tend to like bigger diameter exhausts, and pretty much everything out now is 2.5". Last edited by whats77inaname; 06-09-2013 at 09:24 PM.. |

As much as we wanted to see this 4 years ago, why bring it out now? The new turbo M3/M4 platform will be out in 12 months. Owners will be working on that new platform and mods for it as soon or before its released.
I honestly do not think you can charge premium on this kit unless its 2009, which it isn't. Its the last month of production of the E9X platform. Companies are already focusing on cosmetic modifications for the new F series platform and some have already completed them. Anyway just playing both sides of the fence here. I would love to see this kit in action but it seems a little to late IMO. The E9X M3 is about to become the E46 M3... Meaning all prices slashed in half for modifications and cars.
