Looking to get USAA warranty but they're saying I don't qualify. Can any recommend a good warranty company?

I forgot about the pro-rated refund option, nice!...the alternative is to transfer it (I believe ).

That's correct, you can transfer to individuals but not dealerships and I traded my car in, so the pro-rated refund option was the ticket for me. Nice that they allow both options.

Do you know who you talked to at Assurant? Id like to call and get a quote and it be nice to deal with someone that just sold a M3 warranty.

Think you could pass along the Assurant contact info to me as well? I just picked up an 08 sedan on Sunday and extensive googling about warranties led me here.

Also, first post Thanks!

Engine blew up this weekend - out the top of the block in the valley between the cylinders. I have BMW of Riverside handling the issue with Assurant.

Now accepting Good Juju that my claim is accepted (estimated $30k+ submission).

Yes. Assurant has agreed to pay to the max of their liability (per the limit of liability stated in the warranty contract) - approximately $20,000 and I have decided to pay the remaining balance for a new motor from BMW, labor and additional replacement parts (hoses, belts, motor mounts, etc) that should be replaced while the motor and trans are out of the car.

Assurant has been great to work with throughout this and all previous claims. Highly recommend Assurant!

If you could PM me as well, I'd appreciate it. Want to keep my dealer honest on the quote they're giving me.

Looks like their prices may have gone up?

Just got a quote tonight online with USAA:

Comprehensive Protection Plan(Option 1) 12 months from purchase date or 12,000 miles from purchase
One payment of $2,819.27
or up to 6 monthly payments
as low as $469.87

Comprehensive Protection Plan(Option 2) 24 months from purchase date or 24,000 miles from purchase
One payment of $4,272.14
or up to 6 monthly payments
as low as $712.02

2008 M3, 83XXX miles

Thoughts?

Not with USAA, but yeesh. Bought my 100k through CarMax @52k miles for $3k last year. Already paid for itself with a leaky valve cover gasket and a malfunctioning driver's tail light.
