That's correct, you can transfer to individuals but not dealerships and I traded my car in, so the pro-rated refund option was the ticket for me. Nice that they allow both options.

Engine blew up this weekend - out the top of the block in the valley between the cylinders. I have BMW of Riverside handling the issue with Assurant.

Now accepting Good Juju that my claim is accepted (estimated $30k+ submission).

Yes. Assurant has agreed to pay to the max of their liability (per the limit of liability stated in the warranty contract) - approximately $20,000 and I have decided to pay the remaining balance for a new motor from BMW, labor and additional replacement parts (hoses, belts, motor mounts, etc) that should be replaced while the motor and trans are out of the car.

Assurant has been great to work with throughout this and all previous claims. Highly recommend Assurant!

Not with USAA, but yeesh. Bought my 100k through CarMax @52k miles for $3k last year. Already paid for itself with a leaky valve cover gasket and a malfunctioning driver's tail light.
