This oil also comes in a different colored bottle correct? With a gold cap or something? reason I ask is because I needed that qt of iol, I went to my dealer, bought a qt and added it but the bottle was a bit different, but it did say 10w60 and I did tell the guy for the 08 M3.

I can understand where is comming from on the oil price. Living in the UK, I have to pay the British price (about twice, now a bit less) than what it's priced in the US. On the Military base auto care center, they suck so bad they don't even carry that oil so I had to go to the local BMW dealer and buy it. I bought 3 Ltrs and it cost like almost $70!! But that's what the Manual recommends and that's that! Luckaly when I go for the entire oil/filter change, I'll get it VAT tax free but it'll still be expensive. So I'll rob a bank or something hehehe!!

TWS comes in an older bottle (picture) which is silver and a newer bottle that's gold in color.

Same stuff inside. Only available at the dealer.

If you have a problem purchasing the more "expensive" oil, then the M3 was not meant for your budget dude! Thats ridiculous to even ask, isn't that embarassing to even ask for you?

The ONLY way possible to even have to ask that question is, if your stuck in the middle of nowhere and your in serious need of oil, and the local gas stations don't carry the M3s recommended oil. EVEN THEN...I probably wouldn't add a different oil!

WOW!

I sorta know where the OP is coming from. Stopped by my local BMW dealer where I bought my car and politely notified them my car indicated it needed some oil. They topped it off in 5 mins...the price...$25. I looked at the invoice...1 qt for $25...they didn't charge me for labor or anything.

Didn't mind the money but was shocked at the price. Kind of felt the dealer was nickel and diming...and I thought...damn, I have to find that oil cheaper on the internet for the next time I need to top her off. Good for you guys that got it topped off and even an extra quart to take home for free.
