$1.30 litre for you £1.30 litre for me
My commute is 3.5 kms each way so hence the low cost. On the highway the fuel mileage is respectable.

Best way to phrase question is, how many fill ups?

Then it'll be comparable over time and UK regions as gas prices vary over time and region, unless that's what you're trying to ask.

3 fill ups per month for me.

My M3 is daily driven. I fill up every 4 days, right when the low gas light comes on. Thus, I fill up about 7-8 times a month. It cost me around $50 to fill-up, which translates to around $350-$400 per month.

much too much since I love to so I put it on my visa and at the end of the month have the wife make out the cheque to pay the whole thing

oh I tanked today ... rolled into the gas station on fumes I think ... filled up it was $81.24 (that included 13% Tax $9.35) included for 61.63 litres @ $1.318/Litre on average I go thru 2 tanks a month ... more if I take longer trips

Bottom line depends on Distance+Drive Style = High or Low Visa Bill

About $2000 per month but I own and airplane and that is about 90% of the bill. Our Avgas in the US is almost as much as your 'petrol' in the UK and I burn a fair bit of it. The cars are pretty cheap with our (IMO quite affordable) ~$3.00 /gallon 93 octane gasoline.

Thanks bud

Some cars really don't matter how they are driven, they are just generally very uneconomical. Getting my M3 soon, is it really drive style dependant?

To be honest, its a M3, I'm going to want to floor it once in a while

Bring on the credit card bill!

My M3 has averaged 17 but has varied between 12 and 30mpg.

I reckon on spending £400/1000miles. Someone else suggested 30p/mile (£300/1000 miles) but its a bit worse than that for me.

Good luck with the R6 - great bike.

That sounds about right at £400/1k.

I worked out somewhere around 240 miles per tank, each tankful is around £85 so that sounds about right.

I get a bit more 348 Miles about 560 KM on a tank full. To fill a tank is around $80- Canadian or so depending on cost per litre. Our speed limits are 50 to 60 KM around the city and 100 to 110 KM on the highways (some backroads are 90 KM limits). On average I drive about 10% above posted limits. Trucks I overtake in sling shot fashion love that ...

Wow! I get 19.1 mpg. Is there a hole in your gas tank?

I tanked yesterday and when I convert it to USG it cost me $5.04 / USG

Thank god we are not in Europe ... Germany for example is 1,630 € / Litre

1,630 € = $2.22 US

1 USG = 3.7854118 Litre

Therefore in Europe (Germany anyway) $8.41 for a USG of Premium

No wonder some of the ED fellows are complaining about the high gas prices when they tour Germany (France, Spain and Italy where gas prices and rad tolls are even higher).

(I go to Germany every 2 years or so and normally rent a car. My next trip will be on EuroRail ... it is a lot cheaper that way. In general public transportation in Europe is on time and not too expensive - at high speeds in a car on the Autobahn you can watch your gas gauge move constantly not much fun at those high costs I assure you ).

I try an limit my gas usage to one tank a week but sometimes that is very hard. I would say about 5 tanks a month @ 60$ a pop so about 300 a month.

Is that mostly highway driving? Not sure I've seen over 500km on a tank unless my driving is 100% hwy.

Since I use a combination of carpooling and the train, my monthly fuel costs are somewhere in the neighborhood of $100. Previously, $300.

Yes mostly highway driving when I do drive very little in this small town here.
