Motor (Australia) - E90 M3 DCT vs C63 vs IS-F

This shows the M3 DCT and C63 are very close in terms of straight-line performance...the coupe with its slight weight advantage probably would have just pipped the C63...

M3
0-100km/h - 4.75s
400m - 12.85s @ 112.1mph
Lap Time - 1:09.0

C63
0-100km/h - 4.74s
400m - 12.81s @ 114.4mph
Lap Time - 1:10.1

IS-F
0-100km/h - 5.18s
400m - 13.26s @ 112.0mph
Lap Time - 1:12.0

Surprised though at the 80-120km/h time in 3rd gear, seems too slow?

From the same issue, here's results for a 911 Carrera 4S PDK - strange they tested it in the company of a Cayenne and the X6 50i

Note that this test was performed in very hot conditions - 37C - very impressive results for the 911 Carrera 4S and X6 50i considering the heat...

Carrera C4S is even quicker than the M3 to 180km/h, well it's a couple of off the C2S to the same speed so that would mean the C2S with PDK is roughly over half a second quicker.

It's a convincing beating.

Nice comparison, mixja, do you have any more pics of the M3 E90(+ even better than the coupe with unmatched dynamic depth)/C63/ISF from that comparison or a link please?

The new 997S is quick, maybe as quick as the GT3 was...

IS-F is slower 0-100 km/h?
That doesnt make much sense, my buddy has 1 and he would def pull on a stock M3 off the line !

Not when the DCT uses launch control and hooks. 5500 rpm launch...

Anyway, great article, the DCT and the C63 is a drivers race, as I have been saying all along. They are basically neck and neck, hence a few mods here and there
