G35/G37 are faster than the M3, I know I owned a G35. .
Anyway there are a few out there with built motors running twin turbos or have LS2 motor swap with turbo, so don't sleep on all of them. I respect all performance cars because it might be that built civic that hands you your ass in front of your girlfriend/wifey. just saying. Owning a modded G35 I still respect the vehicle for the class it's ment for, I sure there are a few M3 owners that have tried and tangled with GTR, 911TT, Z06, etc, etc.

I had one incident, other than that not much going on in northern nj. I considered the g35 coupe when it first came out. I think they're nice cars. Driver inside is another thing. Even my mother told me they are nice looking cars. I was like . She doesn't know anything about cars but it caught her eyes.
Anyhoo, yeah, I say just ignore them. I smile all day in my M3. When I do see a Aston, Maserati, or Porsches, i don't go around them revving my engine. There are plenty of nicer, faster cars out there than the M, but i just couldn't care less. This is my Millenium Falcon! hahaha

LOL.... i agree there are some d-bag 35/37 drivers out there, but honestly here in socal, we have a nice crowd of 370z and g37, that likes to just chill and get to know eachother instead of racing every modded car out there... i personally dont know how it is out there in texas or wherever but not all of us are the same....

Here in Seattle I haven't had any G35/37 guys try and race me...in fact nobody has tried to race me...(gonna have to work on that, maybe I don't look fast enough)
The only incidents I've had is with AMG guys and is not that they try to race me per-se but they do make a point of being ahead of me with a face like "-All is, as it should be" |

slightly OT but crazy parking lot drivers are a massive pain! we have a clearly labelled and logical 1-way route that snakes through the lot where i work.. i've almost been killed a few times by people rally driving the wrong way with no cornering visibility and pedestrians walking around..

I had a G37 coupe before my M3 and it was a fantastic car. Is it a pure sports car, no. Is it a pure luxury car, no. It's somewhere in between. The fact that I bought mine for $36K new with Journey package, Navigation, satellite, etc, I still consider it a great value. They are pretty quick for what they are (a near luxury, heavy GT car). A lot of fun to drive and lots of creature comforts.
Its definitely no GTR and it's definitely no M3, but to say that they are bad is plain wrong. The VQ series of motors are great motors as well. The nav / computer system in it is actually one of the best ones I've ever used and I've used quite a few.
