The fiber is aplenty on the roll. lol. The lay up and carbon pattern, infusion, curing, trimming, assembly, and clear coat all take time, especially when you want the part to come out looking nice consistently

The M3 sedan model sold far less than the coupes, so we felt only one mold was needed or this model.

I need to take better pictures but like Greg/GM says it takes time to make such a nice piece...here are my thoughts...

brand spanking out of curing...you could smell the clear right away upon opening the box and the massive amount of bubble wrap protecting the piece.

Once I brought it out into the light the level of engineering that went into the piece is clear especially since the depth and clarity was evident. The layout is flawless!

You can see where there are meshing that has to be done because of the curves, etc but it is done very well and in a place you won't see when installed on the car.

Everything is even and cleanly done - I am super happy with the piece and can't wait to get the car to install it....it is going to be a long 6 months if I can even wait that long.

pics to follow but it really is an amazing piece...the wait is worth it.

Michael

I did a search but could not find a specific DIY. Will someone please tell me how to install this thing? Is it just 3M tape all around the edges or are there fasteners/screws too?

Thanks

3m tape and 2 screws at the bottom at the factory location, you'll have to drill the 2 holes on the diffuser yourself. I used a little bit of betalink on the top edge so it would be flushed and no gaps, I hated the way it looked with the 3m tape.

No Beta link should be required. The install with the 3M tape is all down to technique. We are working on doing a video to show how to do it best. It's not as clear cut to show in videos. I can refer anyone to their nearest Challenge dealer that I know is trained to install aftermarket lips/diffusers etc.

I have recently showed a customer that had it not installed properly how it can be done correctly and result in a part with no gaps etc. The installation technique is really that important.

Understood, I love mine so much it's not going anywhere anytime soon, also if any thieves wanna try and take it, they'll have to break it.
