Happy new E92 owner!
Just traded my 07 Z4M for a brand new E92 M3.
I can't belive I waited so long! Anyway, I'm going back out to drive some more...need to get to 1200 miles soon. Snapped a pic at the dealer this afternoon. Last edited by rabman5; 06-26-2010 at 11:23 PM.. |

I know someone who went the other way (to a Z4 M). Be interested to hear your observations on these two ///M-cars.

Bit of history: I went to dealer in 2004 planning to buy an M3.. left with a Z4 3.0. Drove it 34k miles
Traded that in 2007 for the Z4M. Three years and 30k miles later, I stopped by the dealer on Thursday and after a nice drive, all I could say was WOW! What a car!. M3 is NOTHING like the Z4M. Honestly, at times the Z4M was challenging and difficult to drive, but I accepted it because it performed so much better than the 3.0 I had before. So far, the M3 seems so much more refined, without losing the edge. i still haven't been over 5000 RPMs yet, so my opinion may be a bit premature, but I'm loving the car now. |

Some don't like the M3 for its refinement. Me, I do - but I'm looking for more of an all-rounder. Reason why I did not buy a Cayman S was it felt cramped to me. Seems like you made the right choice

love the car. ahh, what do I see, Dinan Authorized dealer . you can keep it in there for some "refined" products: exhaust, chip, suspension, maybe a stroker motor

Nice car. I'm wondering if that was the black M3 at BMW Bloomfield Hills...if so, I apologize, as I drove the cr** out of that car during a test drive when it had about 70 miles on it. I imagine a few others did too. Hopefully, the engine and transmission did not suffer
