Square setup with 235 - 45 - 18s on stock 18"s (fronts)... Is it too much of a strech for winter setup?

Don't like it? Don't do it.

I'm sure others may think a more "track" oriented car looks over the top for 95% of the driving the car actually sees. For them anything other than OEM is wrong or those that don't see the point of an M3 vs a standard 3er.

To each (riff raff) their own.

I agree in principle that what doesn't affect me should't bother me, but when he hits a pot hole and blows the tire off the rim, it could affect others in a serious way. I believe cars should pass a roadworthy safety inspection, and this would be a sure failure.

It's so funny when this happens, because there will be at least half a dozen people commenting as if this was a new thread. Anyways, back to the resurrection party:

im thinking of running a 255 square setup on the track on 17x10 rims :<. I can save almost 500 dollars per tire change.

This is one fine example of FORM OVER FUNCTION. Take the car pictured above to a track. We'll see how beat up the undercarriage would be and I'll not even talk about how the tires and rims will look like after a track day.

Look at my sig. I hate car enthusiasts who do these type of stuff.
