FS: 2008 E90 M3 JB/Bk 6spd 11K MILES!

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I find it hard to believe that I am posting this but things change very quickly in this life and we have decided to launch a large backyard project so I am weighing my options here on where to pull some of the funds needed.

The car is a 2008 that was not put into service until 3/2009 so the warranty is good until 3/2013. The car was new, not a demo. Current Mileage is 10,8XX. I literally just purchased this car from the original owner last month so I am going to take a tax hit. The original owner took the car home with 20 some miles on it and signed the paperwork with 70 some miles on it so in no way was this a demo or beaten on. He was extrememly maticulous and the car is absolutely mint. No curb rash, no stories.

Options:

Premium
Tech
Cold Weather
PDC
Moonroof
Ipod
Sat Radio
Premium Sound
19s

It has a Premier (http://premiermobilegroup.com/) clear bra on the entire front end and trunk lip. The hood is completely covered in one piece as is the front fascia. The only seams are about 4" on the fenders. Lifetime warranty. This was around $2K.

The windows are tinted with F1 Pinnacle ceramic tint 50% (not very dark, but 100% UV blocking). Lifetime warranty.

The only modification on the car is a Fabspeed mid-pipe in the exhaust. I have the original mid. Just a hair louder than stock so you can actually hear the engine. Still passes CA smog with no problems.

No accidents, work, damage etc. Literally not a scratch, ding, or rock chip on the car. Broken in correctly and serviced on time.

50% remaining on front tires, Rears are getting close.

Asking 49.5K obo.

I will get current photos up ASAP.

Sell it back to a dealer, so you can get a tax break

Anyone have any thoughts on the pricing? Not too much interest. I would like to get it gone, but I think it is worth the asking price based on mileage and condition. Anyone have thoughts?

I've been stalking these threads for the past cpl of months and even though your price is fairly adequate, there is a reason why you've seen no interest - people here on forums are looking for bargains. I've seen fully loaded, low miles just like yours, in particular one with 8k miles, coupe (tad bit pricier than sedans), fully loaded, adult owned, original owner with title in hand, the whole package listed at 47k, $1k less than what your asking. The best offer that this gentleman received was $43k; he decided to keep his M3 and do some "spirited driving" also with the addition of a new exhaust. If I was in your position and in dire need to sell this vehicle, I'd set my price at $46.5k (negotiable ofc and steep to $44.5k at the lowest). I'm more than sure that you'd see someone interested then.

Correction : You just need to allocate your funds else where, not in dire need to sell but anyhow, lower your price - you'll see more interestPERIOD

Based on my research (I have been searching for a few months now) you definitely have the mileage factor, warranty and great condition in your favor, but there are just a lot of 08's for sale right now for low 40's. I definitely think your car would sell for around 43-44k (I will take it if you still have it in November) but it's not going to move at the price your selling it at now cause you can find 09's in that range if you do some searching

Thanks for the feedback. I know it is at the top of the price range for 08s, but it has less miles than most 10s and is in perfect condition. If I cant get close to 48K I will just keep it. No big deal.

With that said, the car is for sale and I am open to all offers....

Thanks,

Tom

I sold my '08 coupe with 15k miles and similar equipment for $47.5k 10 months ago. Sedans usually get a bit less than the coupe and the car is a year older by now. If you're serious about selling, I doubt you'll get more than 42 for it.

Thanks for the feedback. I have had several offers well above that. Did your car have factory maint and warr through 3/13?
