I've driven all vehicles mentioned, all of them modded. Neither make you feel like you do when driving the M3. The s2000 is closer to the M3 feel than the 335. Best way to describe it is that the M3 feels as if it has a soul. Few other cars do that and a 335 is for sure not one of them.

I feel the same way about my '528' F10 (the only model with the honor of being downgraded for marketing purposes, internally known as the 530i)
which puts out 255hp @6700, smooth and silent I6 luxury drive at low revs, makes ferraris and M3s notice at high revs actually more than notice, I raced this guy in a m3 in my complex, he didn't win by much and he was SO agitated he gets agro everytime he sees my car what a bargain, the F10 '528' N52 euro spec |

We tend not to take out car loans, but instead save like mad until we can afford to purchase the vehicle outright.
With that said, I just picked up my first BMW yesterday - a 2010 335i xDrive coupe. I'm still hanging on to my nicely modified 2005 Subaru Legacy GT for those wicked and sick runs down the freeway on ramps. With that said, glad to be here. |

I'm looking for a 911. I could pay cash, but I'll take out a loan at 2%, not because I can't afford it, but because I don't feel like laying out the full amount.

PenFed offers 1.9% also, which is not bad for someone not wanting to pay cash. Of course, you are going to have to invest that cash in something else to make the loan worthwhile, if you goal is to "beat" the interest.

Right on... I'm a PenFed member. I'll have the loan amount invested in the stocks market, so it's variable.

I'm a 24 year old recent college grad. I'm currently working a job in my area of study. I live at home with my parents and my only significant debt, aside from my car loan, is a $5.5k student loan. I got into some credit card trouble when I was younger so I just took out a student loan to clear it up. My grace period ends this month and my first payment is due in July. My student loan will be paid off in no more than two payments. After that, I plan to budget about 20-25% for a car loan. I haven't decided if I want to put 10% or 15% into my 401k. Once I make that decision, I'll decided what I want to do with the car issue.
My current car payment is 10% of my monthly income to the penny. Lol

Since i financed 100% of the purchase price of my vehicle the cash layout that was invested instead has earned roughly $33,000 while i've only paid a few grand in interest. Even if i financed at a whopping 3% i would have earned over $25k with that cash by financing rather than paying in full. Still of the same opinion? Quote:
This. With interest rates what they are these days, it's stupid to pay up front unless you're stupid rich and have stacks of cash sitting around collecting dust. I bought my M3 with .09% financing 0 down. Every year that $70k has earned no less than 6% and as much as 14% since Feb of 2009.
