Valentine 1 mount for e92 M3 mirror
Dear members,
My buddy was asking if there are any mounts available for the e92 M3 where you can install the V1 unit right below the mirror? He doesn't want to use the suction cups and mount it to the windshield. If not, what are some clean ways you guys have been installing V1's? (Obviously hardwiring is a given... but besides that) Thanks in advance for your replies. -Calvin |

EAS has a V1 mount that sits under the mirror. There's also one from "country joy crafts" or something like that for a little less.

Kind of like this?
While this is specifically for the e46 M3, we'll be making one for the e9x models soon.

In my opinion suction cupped to the windshield above the mirror is a much cleaner install. Hanging underneath is right in your line of sight while driving. Not sure that's such a good idea. Plus radar detectors work better the higher you mount them. It improves their range.

Don't bother...I bought the mount from country joy and it fit, but I couldn't adjust the mirror....there is not enough space for the mount...had to send it back

Please consider this thought: That's nice and all but I'd rather see it mount the V1 to the side of the mirror and a little bit higher. The V1 suction cups have never stopped working for me. In fact, they're the best suction cup mount I've encountered. But the suctions cups against the windshield does make it easier for a thief to see it hanging there. Mounting it from the mirror up behind the tint at the top of the window would make it harder to see from the outside.

If someone could produce a mount that did move it up and to the side of the rear view mirror, well that would be brilliant.
