iDrive phone icon with an X

After I make a call with my phone over bluetooth with the car the phone icon at the top of the iDrive screen turns to a phone icon with a little X over it.
It's almost like its telling me I am on a call? Or can't make calls?

I can still take and receive calls fine, but the icon never seems to change, Maybe just a bug in the interface?
I think at some point it will reset to the normal icon. But its been a few days now. Just not sure what its trying to indicate.

2009 E92 M3 if that matters...

I get that too. I think it means the phone is currently not in use.

That's weird since normally there is no X...

Are you running the latest software?

bmw.com/update

Also, try unpairing the phone and then re-pairing.

I don't think the BMW update site works for 2009 and older cars.

I'll try the unpair/repair thing...

Isn't it the missed call notification? Open the missed calls menu and it should go way.
