Am I the only one who experienced a problem with the oil change? Picked up my car in the afternoon and went home......the next morning on the way to work the "oil message" light comes on with the gong and says I need oil (+1?).....called the dealer and they asked me to stop by for a "top up" relating a story about similar issues with the V10 in the M5 and M6. They said they will need to keep it overnight for future oil changes.
Why can't they just put in the perscribed quantity of oil?

checking oil on these NO-DIPSTICKS engine is a little tricky, like my e90 325i... the engine has to be running and warmed up before you can see the actual oil level on the dash board. Its BS to have the dealer say, it needed to have an overnight for oil changes. I think the mechanic just like to play it safe than sorry when he did it, its a fireable offense you know to overfill and mess someones car.

also gang, dont forget to tell the dealership to not wash the car! I hate it when it come out with some water on it, and leaves water marks on windshields, etc. I spent another 5 mins, wiping it down with my hankie before I take it out the garage. anyway, Im happy.. now the fun begins! REVV! REVV ZOOM!!!!!!
