I guess if you're into that... I like an aggressive wheel / tire but I guess our definition of "aggressive" differs. Aggressive to me means stuffing wider tires onto wider rims and filling out the wheel arches. Not using narrower tires than stock and/or the wrong tire for the rim to stretch a rim that exceeds the width of the fenders. Why not at least use actual M3 tire sizes? a 265/30/19 is a full inch smaller in height than the OEM 265/35/19. I kind of understand it for a car that doesn't have much performance, but don't get it on a high performance car. You are negatively impacting performance with tires that are too narrow and a smaller overall diameter. Maybe you bought the M3 for different reasons than I.

Please post pictures when you have them mounted. I'm definitely interested in seeing the finished product. I do like the style of the wheels and I have never seen them on an e9x M3.

figured i'd give you guys an update, the front definitely wont clear on unstretched tires, there's a hairline clearance between the strut body and the inner barrel. Aside from a tiny bit of shaving in the rear inner well, should be ready to rock in a week or so. |

lol ok a couple observations;
19x10+15 with a 225/35 is not wide enough for the front me thinks, currently at 24" FTG and I have yet to mess with the front camber (1.9/1.8) although if I didnt run stretch i'd have a problem with inner strut clearance. 19x12+25 with 265/30 at the same 24" FTG is a mission, although doable (at 14k springrates and full stiff on the dampening) is not a smart decision if youre traveling 1000 to SoWo in Georgia, so i will be raising it a tinge (maybe a turn or two on the spindles). Which really leads me to believe that a good pull out back, shouldn't have an issue running an 11.5 with a 0/-et or even a 13 with a high enough offset. Going to turn it up a tinge and see what the ride height looks like, how it rides. |

i rubbed barely today. so barely it didn't leave a mark on the tire. its in the rear liner. my friend at a body shop reshaped it with heat, you can't even tell. no pulling fenders. thank goodness.
thank you i'm glad its not just me loving them most definitely i was just up there last month. i'll let you know next time. i'll bring my camera up and get you doing drive bys on old german road. |
