Front Tyre Wear

The inside edge, about 1" wide, on both front tyres on my E90 have worn severely after 16000 miles, the rest of the tyre is OK and still above the TWI's.

Is this normal and what front track setting is recommended?

Thanks

Assuming your tire pressures are OK, inside edge wear means that you have too much negative camber up front, or, that you don't corner hard enough

You can solve this issue by reducing the negative camber, aka how much your front tires lean towards the car.

Might also check to see if you have toe- out present.

Sounds like an alignment check might be in order.

You can check to see if you have negative chamber by whether it appears the
top of the tire leans into the car.

Likely it's a bit of negative camber. Based on the miles and your description, I expect it is probably within the recommended range. If you want to reduce the inside edge wear, you could have the alignment checked/redone and set the camber as close to zero as allowed by the alignment specs.
