Exhaust inquiry
Question for everyone;
Just bought the 2013 M3 and getting into the mod scene. I'm planning to purchase a mod exhaust and have narrowed it down to three choices: 1. Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust System 2. Eisenmann Performance Exhaust, 4 x 83mm Performance Exhaust 3. Vorsteiner Type II Titanium Sport Exhaust System From what I have seen and read online, these three companies are well regarded and produce great products. If anyone has experience owning, installing or working with these, I would appreciate your input! Looking for an exhaust with a good, aggressive sound but, low noise in the cockpit and low drone. Thanks! |

Eisenmann Race is very noticeable in the cockpit at low speeds. It's not a problem though and is fine at cruising speeds. 2000 rpm is where the drone is. I have no regrets.

I have both the Akra and the Eisenmann Race. The Akra is clean and nice sounding with no drone. The Eisenmann Race is much louder. It definitely drones in the 65-70mph range.

It really depends on what YOU want, all three sound different and have different noise levels/ drone. Find a M3 meet in your area and listen to some in person and make a decision from there, cause everyone here had their favs and opinions, it does not make it right for you and when you drop 6k on exhuast make sure you are going to like it.

I love the sound of Akra Evo. Drone is subjective but I would say it does not have any drone.

Worked with all 3 and had satisfied customers every time so don't think you'll find much of a sour word on either system. Good luck in your search!
