Autocrossed e92 today and took some gopro footage

Here are four runs from different angles. Autocross in the e9x is TONS of fun! If you have not tried it, well, you need to.

Nice job. Fun to get it out there and let it perform.

I was going to go and watch.. Having started with HPDE events, I cannot for the life of me ever figure out which way you are supposed to turn at an autocross event. It looks SO confusing.

It is! My advice is
1. to do the walk through(obviously)
2. take your first run SLOW (as painful as that is to do)
3. Try to identify the few tricky parts and remind yourself which way to look
4. Ride along with other people as much as you can early to learn it better, or take an instructor who will yell directions to you. NJBMWCCA allows this but I hear SCCA does not.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like great fun, but Id probably take out every cone.

The m3 felt huge the few times I autox'd it. Felt much more natural when I had my 135i. But it's still good fun regardless.

Great angles and good runs! Used to AutoX in my old M Roadster which was a LOT more nimble than what the E9x seems to be. Can't wait to pick up the new car from ED next month and get back into it when it's delivered stateside.

MDM for the first 3, DSC off for the last one. I found that coming out of a turns into a straight I would go hard on the gas and get nothing with MDM, and would need to pump the gas again to get a response.

Having the DSC off was worlds better. I ran 4 runs MDM and 4 DSC off but they weren't the most exciting angles.

Good runs. I meant to come over and say hi but I was tied up all day. Hope to see you run with us again.

Two car seats to be precise. I normally race my E36M3 but it's in storage this year.

The only way to autocross decently with the M3 is with DSC off. Same does not apply for track days however.
