19x10 square tire question

Hey gang, need some help. I posted on the aggressive fitment thread but havnt seen a reply yet, and need to order today or tomorrow. I purchased four 19x10 et25 zcp comp wheels(partially for looks, partially for weekend autox sesh) I'm lowered on swift springs. I'm going to run a 12mm spacer in the rear to avoid the bulldog look.

So my question is for the tires. I just purchased(less then 300 miles) a set of 275/35/19 for my stock rear so I would like to keep them and throw them on the new rear ZCP's. I think they should fit fine with the spacer.

However my problem is the front. I need new tires up there regardless(I wont put a 245/35 on a 10" wheel), so should I do 255/35 and keep close to stock ratio with front and have to stretch some tire? Or should I do 265/35 or 275/30?

I'm also on stock camber settings after re aligning at the dealer after springs. (About -1.4 up front, -1.7 on back)

I know I can probably fit all 3 tire sizes, but I want to avoid as much as possible(ironic because I went square) on messing up the ratio from front to back compared to stock, and/or having a too tall or too short of tire messing up the speed ratios. I have studied the tire calculator

Which tire size will fit best?

Thanks guys

255 will be a bit of a stretch and 265/35 will sit like OEM.
Good luck. Do some research on tread design because it is to my understanding that once you go from 265/35/19 to 275/35/19, the tread design may be different and results in the 275 weighing about 2 lbs heavier. I think this may have been a different issue with the PS2s but I think some of the tires, as they get wider, add rubber asymmetrically to one side or one tread block to the other. I wonder if anyone can chime in on the issue… From what I understand the 275 is designed more to be a "rear" tire…. I just think its something to consider, but I may be very wrong -___-

EDIT from tire rack… Pilot Super Sports
245/35/19 = 23lbs
255/35/19 = 24lbs
265/35/19 = 25lbs
275/35/19 = 27lbs

I would try the 265 up front first and see if they fit and drive well. If they feel shitty, sell them on the forum to people who want new rears at a discount. Cheers m8

Thanks for the input, that's what I'm leaning towards right now. Anyone else disagree before I make the order.

I would go with 275/30/19's in the front (if not on all 4 so that you can rotate the wheels). You may need a little more negative camber in the front for 275's.

Good idea. Square 275/30/19 would be good, only factor is sidewall height. I would bet its about 1" tire diameter difference….

I thought about the 275/30 combo but unfortunately I do not want to waste the $500 I just spent on the 275/35's

275/30/19 is almost the same diameter as the OEM 245/35/19.

Any rubbing with a 275 up front? And how will that pair with a 275/35 in back?

Just do 275/30/19 on all four corners. Front will rub with a 35 tire.

Sell them here on the forum. Provide pics and explain the situation. In reality you will lose 50-100$ and help someone out by getting them tires they need at a small discount. Its a tiny price to pay for a better tire setup, and a learning experience. Good luck OP, the square ZCP setup will be cool to see I hope you post pics (especially on swift springs!)

I may consider this setup myself….

+1 not really a square set up if you dont have same size tires, ie cant rotate tires to any position so no benefit. i had 265-30-19 square in ad08s.

Was your car stock height?

And would it hurt if I kept the rears and still went 275/30 on front

Don't see any harm as long as your car isn't slammed and you don't plan to rotate the tires. Height difference 30 and 35 tire isn't too noticible.

And yes my car was stock height.

It wouldn't hurt, that would be perfectly fine. However, if your running square wheels there are more pros than cons favoring a square tire setup as well. If I were you I would sell the almost new PSS 275/35 or keep them as spares. 275/30/19 on your springs will look good.

Either setup will work though, it comes down to whether you want to rotate tires or not.

EDIT
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=596648

Take at look at this bud, you are fine with 275/35 rear and 265/35 front….. You are also fine and can rotate with 275/30 all around.
Dont sweat it either decision is proven to work and a great setup. I personally couldn't decide easily either!

I have stock suspension and I am really considering 19x10 et25 Enkei RPF1s with 275/30 all around so I can rotate (on an e90 M3). I would like to lower my car but the ramp at my work sucks and it didn't work at all with my e46 M on coils.

How would the weight be on a 275/30?

How would the ride and turn-in be with the 275/30 setup?

i had 265-30 all around and ride was fine. turn in was crisp. depends on the brand of tire though also mine were advan ad08s and they have stiffer sidewall already than the ps2s so ride is firmer for sure.

The 265/30s are slightly less diameter than the 275/30s right? I wonder how that would look since I am stuck on stock suspension for the time being.
