2 weeks until mine goes in for WCCH Stg 2 heads & tune. Then it's game on, have been babying her for now, ready to let her rip through 7K! Seat rails on the way, Sharkbar on the way, picking up Sparco 6-pt tomorrow; Probably ordering Corbeau the following week. Road Atlanta either in May or June.

Got lucky, found a Caravaggio Race on stock rails/power/heat that I could not pass up... Easy swap for my 2LZ. I'll post a before/after of the install... really cleans up the comfort and overall look of the interior - and track support.
I'm sticking with the 18/19 combo on mine for now. This season I'll run the PSS on the OEM Speedlines on the street/track. Maybe next year, get some repros for the street, and run PSC on the OEMs at the track.

How do you like that Caravaggio seat? Does it have enough bolster to hold you in on the track? And, what exhaust are you running? |

Bring the Z06 to 150mph then let go of the steering and see what happens.... The M3 steering, feel and stability is probably deemed as one of the best. Ever. Z06 steering is good. That's all. Slow car and OK interior???? The M3 isn't slow by any means and the interior is quality from floor to ceiling. The corvette interior is a POS man!!!! Gosh.... BTW, put 2 OK driver in each car and get them to lap each other on a circuit, I guaranty you that the guy in the Corvette won't be able to pass the M3 because he won't have the skills or the balls to push the car to the limit.

Bro, do you even lift?
You can believe whatever you want, i have spent $4k to get my interior where i want. I have pulled 1.09G many times after i ditched GY crap tires. I have hit 186mph once, car seemed stable but you do in fact have to hold onto the steering wheel fairly firm. Redlined 4th gear i donno how many times(thats 160mph) without any stability issues. Not sure if u ever driven a light weight car but there is just something special about it, it has ability to explode in moment' notice. It corners so well, beyond scary at times. If u live traction control on you cant get really get in trouble. Competitive mode is sweet as well. Now that i have a kid(my first), i can appreciate the back seats of M3. So perhaps if i was buying a car all over i'd go with E90 which im actually looking at buying now(still keeping the Z). Two different cars to really compare but somewhere we all compare the price of cars.

I drove the ZR1 back in September and found it great fun. It pulls like hell. I drove a couple times a friend's C6 with a ProCharger, exhaust, tune etc... Car has 554WHP... I owned and restored a 78' Corvette Pace Car Edition so I'm not new to the Corvette world... Those are my benchmark when I say that the Corvette is not nearly as "reassuring" at high speed compared to the M3, or any other high end german cars for that matter... The feel is completely different too. The interior is a joke... and 95% of the owners would agree! The other 5% just haven't known anything better, so they are excused. That beeing said, I'm glad the Corvette still exist and the new one will hopefully be much better than the one it replaces.

Ive had both my Z and M3 at speeds and I wouldnt say EITHER of them felt nothing but planted. I also would not let go of the wheel at speed, so that holds no merit. I loved me ESS E90, but the Z is a far nastier beast.

I hit 170 in my m6 and 160 in my z06, and I'm going to have to say my m6 was more stable. In fact I got some air in the m6 going that speed and it was solid, but then again that's not a fair comparison since the corvette had a track alignment with some toe out while the m6 was dialed in for autobahn speeds.... Either way both were solid....
