VMR VB3 (CSL) on stock tires: 19X9.5 or 19X10?

I am looking at switching out my stock 19" wheels for VMR VB3 CSL reps. I will be re-using my TPMS sensors and tires.

Should I stick with the stock 19X8.5 / 19X9.5 wheel sizes or can I go up to the 19X10 rear while sticking with the 265 rear tire? I don't want the tire to look too "stretched" or have the rim sticking out (especially compared to the front if I stick with 8.5")--but I really love the concavity of the 10" rear.

Your stock rear tires are 265/35/19. The high sidewall will allow the tire to fit on the 10" wheel without looking too stretched, but if you really want to have the tire looking "Square" I would go with a 275/30/19.

I just had 265/30/19 tires put on my VMR Vb3 10" rears, and the tire looks too stretched for me, BUT if I would have had a 265/35/19 tire, it wouldnt look as bad.

Here are my rears:

Hi Doug,

I recommend the 19x10 setup to fill out the rear with a 275 tire. The 265 will be stretched on the 19x10.

Thanks. Maybe I'll wait on the wheels until my tires need replacing too. If I buy wheels sooner, I'll just want to move over the stock PS2's.

Or live with the stretched look until they wear out then jump to the 275's.
