Feeler: What parts do you want to see in FRP?

I am hooking up with an FRP company to make some parts in FRP for those that want painted parts instead of CF parts. What parts do you guys want to see and purchase? Any interest in the ACS and 3D rear trunk lip? What about front lips and rear diffusers? Any interest in painted FRP parts? Whats an acceptable price range for you guys. Thanks in advance for any input you guys might have.

Exclamation Feeler: Thinking about regressing the industry

Thinking about replicating a product that has already been replicated. Also thinking about making it out of an inferior material with sub par fitment. What do you guys think? The good news is it cheap.

This is exactly what we need. Cheap parts for our $50K + cars.

do you really think they are going to spend so much money to make a replica kits ? I doubt ...

and i don't understand why can't you guys come up with your own design and bring something new to the market instead of coping already existing products ? Who wants that cheap piece of crap on a nice car ?

If you don't have money to spend to mod you car then just leave it stock ... it looks fantastic from the factory !

Yes, alternatives to going through you.

As in, wtf would I pay 1500 for an original hamann lip when I got it for 300 bucks? Why pay for the name? This isn't a Louis Vuitton purse.

Oh Sticky. We already have a thread on this board that goes on for pages about this very subject.

Am I the only one that thinks it's weird that you rather have a purse than a "name brand" product for your car?

Don't forget the matching stilettos!

Come on guys. I did not start this thread for it to turn into another pissing match. I wanted to do this because seems like us e90 guys get neglected when it comes to mods and most of the parts are made in CF. I'd like to see FRP parts that we can paint instead of CF everything. I've always wanted that ericsson trunk as well but its not made for sedans. So maybe a ericsson style trunk for sedan? As for the inferior material with subpar fitment comment. I guess thats why the ericsson trunk is made out of frp? And I guess thats why Vorsteiner parts ALWAYS fit perfect? Anyways, This is just a feeler. Thanks for all the comments.

I thought purses were the best example of paying for the brand name? I am just amazed at the price for a little piece of luggage with a name on it, but I understand the reasoning behind paying for the name, so everyone can see it.

Regardless, come on, name brand products for body parts don't really matter, as one can't tell unless you tell them.

If you are going to make that argument, make the argument that the name brands have proper fitment, quality, warranty, etc.

how about the supposed E92 M3 CSL trunk lid? I think the picture below is just a quick "add-on" to test the aero. could someone make a more integrated version of the trunk lid with the csl design?

Amuse parts for a reasonable price would be nice, as with Vorsteiner. Screw all these name-brand snobs. Make some quality copies and you'll make plenty of money. I will be your first order for the Amuse trunk and front bumper if you make them! I'm sick of paying $1200 for a front spitters that get destroyed every time you hit debris on the freeway. Already runied a Vorsteiner cause of a truck tire and now I'm repainting it flat black. Some good that carbon did...

how about some FRP doors man? I'm sure that'll cut a TON of weight from the car.

Bump this! I need more input guys.

I am thinking about doing an Amuse style front bumper and trunk first. I am thinking about altering the design of the front bumper a bit though. Maybe reduce how much the front chin sticks out? What do you guys think. Also, at what price point would you guys be interested? 1/2 off? I've also got a couple of other ideas, I wont let out of the bag yet.
