You should spend it on her. Spa day, nice restaurant, whatever you both like to do. Tell her it's from the money she gave you. Then later on, she would probably give you more $$$$.

Take about $500 and send her to the spa for the works. She will be there all day. She will be treated with all sorts of lotions, potions and lathers. She will be rubbed, wrapped, peeled, and dipped more than a pre-packaged cruditÃ©s platter. She will love you for this.

While she is there you have a free day and about $1000 to get something for yourself/car.

At the end of the day, you will both be happy.

If there is anything left over, go drink champagne and eat strawberries...but not in the car.

Save the treat money trust me...i learnt the hard way, save the treat and the ''nice guy'' stuff for whenever you eff up or shes feeling down!

For now, I'd save it, INVEST! dont spend it on parts just ''because you can'', if you're not really burning to spend it on something you dont need, dont spend it, simple.

Absolutely treat her, and don't do it because you hope to get something from it, do it because you want her to be happy. Then you may find out that she'll do the same back for you when it really matters.

Case in point:

A few years back, for our 10th wedding anniversary my wife had her eye on this somewhat expensive diamond ring. To her, it was the dream M3, and I was fortunate enough to make that happen. Now, as I hit my 40th birthday she approached ME to ask "What do you think about finally getting that M3 you've always wanted?"

Do good things with good intentions and it comes back to you. Take care of those that mean the most to you
